Austin weather: Scattered showers on Thursday

The National Weather Service has extended heat advisories through tomorrow evening, with temperatures reaching 104°F and heat indices up to 111°F. While record-breaking heat persists, rainfall is expected to move in, potentially bringing scattered showers and storms that may provide much-needed relief to dry areas before temperatures settle closer to 100°F.
