A crew of four explorers—including Captain John, Ivan, and Eric—embark on a remote maritime adventure to discover new surf breaks. After a challenging crossing, they locate a pristine, unridden reef featuring powerful slab waves, combining the thrill of exploration with deep-sea diving and surfing.
Oh my god!
Oh my gosh!
Well, that's it.
We've got all of our groceries.
We did a bunch of shopping.
We got all our fuel.
We tested the boat.
Did some foiling. Got it out.
Everything's good.
We got an epic departure song
from the Pidians.
The market got fresh produce.
Got perishables.
And we're off on our next big adventure.
Me, Captain John, Ivan, and Eric.
We got Ivan.
That's our crew.
Here we go.
Gonna go looking for, hopefully,
some new waves to surf.
New reefs and some new islands to explore.
But it's gonna be a few days of crossing first.
Thank you for appreciation.
I will see you.
See you soon.
Land ho!
I'm feeling a certain mysteriousness upon us.
It's my island.
Aye, it's my island.
The Leviathan has been here.
My goodness, dude.
For hours.
Those are yummy, dude.
Look at the parasites on it.
Looks like it's in the water, yeah?
So well.
They do be swell in the water.
Oh, those are the clouds that built up behind us over there.
Right?
We were in the bubble.
Slabs.
So true, dude.
Whoa.
Go back a little bit?
To the left down in there?
A little keeler.
What?
That was sick looking, buddy.
The other side's going too.
Wow, look at this little split.
Look at the beach in here.
What is that right there?
Whoa.
Boop, boop, boop, boop, boop.
It's like super long from the other way.
I think there's a set coming down the bay right now.
This next one.
What?
Oh, that thing spit right there.
Whoa, it did.
Whoa, that was trippy.
Oh, it spit again.
End ball, end ball.
Oh.
Can't wait to see this thing from the front.
It looks like there's a set.
Whoa.
That's something.
Yeah.
Out the back.
Watch it hit this ball right here.
Oh, my gosh.
That thing barreled.
Wow.
We're going to be at the left in time for the set.
It's going to be so cool.
Oh, that's a good set.
Yeah.
Beautiful chokes.
Chokes.
Look at this one.
Kick out.
Whoa.
Dude, that is a slab out there.
That's something.
Trippy.
Look at the wedge on it.
Whoa.
Yeah, that ride was good.
What do you think, Ivan?
About what?
What do you think?
About what?
What do you think?
We had an okay crossing.
Not crazy winds, but more of a hot slog across.
Less wind than we wanted.
Where our other crossing, we had more wind than we wanted.
So, we sweated it out for a few days.
Captain John had us pulling the spinnaker up and down and up and down.
Kind of hit wind pockets.
We did have to motor a bit.
But we did catch two fish, so big bonus on that.
We arrived, and I already saw a really fun peeling left.
So, that's very exciting.
And it looks so clean.
This is it.
Not a soul in the water.
Dude, Ivan's getting cleaned up for the session.
Everyone's gearing up.
We're going to go out and look at the first wave we saw.
We're very excited about it.
Me and John saw a wave that looks like the tropical box.
A tropical box?
The tropical box slab.
New wave, new reef.
Nobody around.
Never surfed before by us.
So, it's going to be...
Yeah, I don't know if the twin's going to cut it today.
It's going to be epic to figure it all out.
That one was underground spit both ways.
Oh, look at that thing.
Wow, the left is really good, too.
How big is it?
I would say it's four foot.
No.
Slow down.
I thought that was a curl head.
You're good.
Take a look at that bottom.
Crazy.
No urchin jet, though.
Wow, this is crazy.
One of her.
What do you see?
The shape is so cool.
Holding off.
I think that probably holds off and breaks and folds.
We haven't seen another set yet, though.
No.
No way.
What is this?
No.
It held off.
It was so sick.
All right, go left.
Charge this left.
Go.
Arrival day.
Wow, what a day.
This water color is crazy.
It was coming today, but it hasn't showed up, so we're going to go explore the island.
It's really good grass.
Crazy.
That left was so sick of your front side.
Floored the lamb.
Came in.
Had a coffee.
Went for a dive.
Did some deep dives.
All the boys to the caves.
Swells on the rise.
We saw some potentially sick waves, so we're going to go explore the reefs now after a couple of bites and hydration and meat sticks.
Eric swam a 50-foot deep cave with the red in that housing.
The scariest noise I've ever heard.
Made a crazy bong at the bottom.
Everyone stops and looks back at me.
I thought John kicked me.
We all were like, what could that have been?
Screen's sideways.
Can't push your cord.
Body's tweaked in there.
Clock somehow is still good.
That was crazy.
It survived.
Yeah, that's nice.
Isn't it quiet?
We'll sit here and we'll wait for it.
That wave was insane.
That wave was so square.
Let's go.
And we can surf a few waves there.
So I'll just swim out.
And then we can move down if we see a crazy left.
We'll be looking right into it.
It's crazy.
I've touched down.
Ah.
Ow.
Yep.
Ow.
Oh, that last.
Oh my God.
Then we're faced with an unknown paddle out.
And an unknown wave.
Looks to be a crazy little right slab and a really sick left slab when it's bigger on tip.
Surfing over an unknown sharp reef.
That one was crazy.
Let's see how we get over the reef and out to the wave.
Oh, watch this next one.
Look.
That was crazy.
First we gotta get out of there.
We got left.
Oh my gosh.
He was going lizard mode right there.
That.
I don't know if you saw the start of that last left, but it was so thick.
Crazy sharp.
At least no urchins yet.
I see it.
Keyhole.
Get to the keyhole.
Lizard paddle.
This keyhole is not big enough for two of us.
Charge it.
Next one.
That's a crazy double up.
Oh my gosh.
Oh no, it's gotta come back over here.
It's gotta shift.
It's gotta shift onto the reef.
No.
It's a classic.
Got out and it just stopped.
No waves have come.
Now we're all waiting for a dream in the wind.
Damn, no waves.
47 minutes in.
We're not giving up.
We waited 50 minutes.
It was worth it all.
I didn't.
I'm so glad I went because I was like, oh, it's the next one going to be better.
It didn't look super like.
As I committed, it started sucking up.
Yeah.
Now we're 14 in and there's only been one set, but three of us.
And now John and Ivan are stuck in the cup chair.
Waiting and watching.
It's an hour per wave.
And so we're all hooded up.
No.
Sharded Ivan.
Get deep on it.
Oh.
I think it's crazy.
Oh my God.
He's so worked.
Wow.
It looks crazy.
It kind of closed out.
It's not.
Wow.
Now.
Oh my God.
I should have gone around here.
It's in.
Damn it.
That was it.
Well, where's it gone?
It's way in here.
Oh, that was so good too.
Backdoor it.
Whoa.
Are you going?
Oh my God.
No, go out.
Get out.
I think he made it.
Oh my God.
Wow.
Just made it so far.
We had to call it.
We got to get the boat back.
It's so dark.
But what a find.
We found the sickest, most mutant little gobble at last.
Insanely slow.
One every 40 minutes or so.
But I think we all got one.
And then at the end, like, we really saw two proper sets.
And we just missed them.
We fazzed out, paddled out.
We should have paddled in.
The first one we could have paddled out and got in.
So the second one we paddled out, but we should have paddled in.
It was just one of those.
But two went unridden that were just psycho.
Love it.
This is what makes those trips, trips like this so special.
It's just me, John, Ivan, Eric shooting water.
We're out here.
We surfed a wave we've never surfed before.
That's probably never been surfed before.
Almost guaranteed they've never been surfed before.
So that's a special thing.
Thanks for watching.
This is what our brand is all about.
Like, going, exploring, getting out there, using the gear in remote places.
Looking for new waves, new reefs.
And just living it, basically.
So we appreciate you guys for supporting us.
And watching the vids.
Now we gotta get the boat back before dark.
Hopefully tomorrow morning we'll have a little bit more of this.
Whoa, the tide is low.
Lucky our dinghy isn't dried off.
