I Visited Europe’s Most Isolated Islands... Worth It?

The Faroe Islands 🇫🇴 One of the wildest and most remote destinations in Europe, and easily one of the most extraordinary places we have travelled to.

In this Faroe Islands travel documentary, we spend four days road tripping across these tiny islands in the middle of the North Atlantic, exploring dramatic sea cliffs, remote villages, waterfalls, hiking trails, incredible food and some of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe.

We begin in Tórshavn before heading out to discover what travelling through the Faroe Islands is really like. We go sea fishing with locals, cook our own fish, experience Faroese food at both Michelin starred restaurants and local haunts, drive through tiny villages hidden between the mountains and the sea, and explore some of the islands’ most famous landscapes.

Along the way we visit Vestmanna, Saksun, Gjógv, Fossá waterfall and Klaksvík before taking the ferry to Kalsoy to hike to the iconic Kallur Lighthouse, surrounded by some of the most dramatic cliffs in the Faroe Islands.

We finish our trip at one of the places I had been most excited to see, Lake Sørvágsvatn and Trælanípa, better known as the floating lake. From the famous optical illusion to the enormous sea cliffs surrounding it, this ended up being one of the biggest surprises of the entire trip.

Expect Faroese food, fishing, sheep, fog, waterfalls, tiny roads, remote villages, huge Atlantic cliffs and some of the most ridiculous scenery we have ever seen.
