Rwanda’s Kagame Calls FDLR Disarmament Efforts ‘Superficial’

President Paul Kagame has criticized recent attempts to disarm the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR) as superficial. Speaking in Kigali, Kagame argued that these efforts fail to address the root causes of the conflict, following a protocol announced by the Democratic Republic of Congo involving a faction of the group.
