This is part of a series on creating jewelry from unconventional materials; crafting a ring from a brass hex nut is quite challenging because the alloy—containing zinc, nickel, and copper—is hard to melt and difficult to shape. Nevertheless, I’ll turn it into a lovely floral ring. The design is simple, featuring petals inspired by the Jasminum sambac flower, an emerald center, and tsavorite accents on the band—making it a stunning piece to wear.
