Orlando scraps Leu Gardens master plan after neighborhood concerns

The City of Orlando has scrapped a controversial master plan to renovate Lou Gardens. The proposed project, which included a new visitor center, children's garden, and outdoor stage, was canceled following community pushback and financial uncertainty regarding property tax revenues. While the grand renovation is off, the city will still proceed with basic infrastructure upgrades.
