Just landed in Fort Myers, Florida. Check this out. This is so cool. There's like all these
food and dessert vending machines. This one's got some cakes, cheesecake, factory vending machine.
Here's breakfast, burritos, biscuits, asian baos. Have you ever seen this before?
White Castle vending machine. Didn't have breakfast yet. I mean it's basically just
microwave White Castle burgers. I was starving. It's pretty tasty. Just got to Sarasota, Florida.
Let's grab a coffee, maybe a piece of pie. This is a little coffee shop and a little store
where they sell groceries and pies, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, baked salads,
all sorts of dishes you can heat up at home. Parmesan lasagna, cabbage rolls, homemade Amish
peanut butter, cookies, pies, cheeses, all homemade stuff. And right beside the coffee shop, look at this,
this cute little city area. So this little area is called Pinecraft and I think back in the,
starting in the 1920s, people from the Amish and Mennonite communities from up north in Ohio,
Pennsylvania, all these places started coming down here in the winter because obviously winter's up,
they're pretty rough. So this little neighborhood kind of became known as like the Amish snowbird
capital of America. So if you come here, you're going to find amazing baked goods, good restaurants,
and of course in America, number one rated buffet in America by USA Today, it's a little ways down
the street. And last time I was here, I was able to try it for breakfast. Figured this time we'll
get dinner to try. I want to go when it's actually dinner time and we still got like at least an hour
or so. So got their top seller. This is a monster cheesecake. M&M's whipped cream cheesecake in the
middle. Looks like a kind of a granola crust on the side. Awesome cheesecake. Oh that's smooth.
First I thought the M&M's might have just been decorative. Has a nice little crunch to the
velvety cheesecake. Also a big thank you to the sponsor of this video, Salee. I mentioned this
before, but if you are planning a trip abroad, this is one of the most vital apps you can have
on your phone. Period. Seriously, this app will save you so much time. It's going to save you so much
stress. So if you don't know, Salee is an eSIM app that allows you to connect to the internet in over
200 locations around the world without the need of a physical SIM card. This is so important. So
previously what I had to do before eSIM is whenever I land at an airport, I would have to look for one
of these kiosks that installs physical SIM cards into my phone and they don't always work. So
usually there's always a line. I think one time in South Korea, I waited in line. Then they took about
an hour trying to get the physical SIM card to work in my phone. It didn't work. So then I went
and got a SIM card from 7-Eleven, plugged that in. That also didn't work. Couldn't get my money back.
Finally, I think I had to go all the way to Myeongdong or something to find this one shop that
installed another physical SIM card that finally worked. Yeah, that's a lot of time, a lot of
frustration. But now with Salee, it's so simple. All you got to do is download the app, purchase the
plan that you need, and Salee also have plans by country or by region. So when I was traveling
around Southeast Asia, I just bought a whole plan for the whole region of Southeast Asia. So then
when I went to Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, it just always worked. Anyway, like I said, super
simple. After you purchase the plan, activate it before you head over to that country. So before
you board your plane, your ship, however you're getting there. This way, as soon as you reach your
destination, you're online. That's it. It's that simple. It's affordable. There's 24-7 support,
which I've used, and they're extremely helpful. You can also activate Salee security features
and their built-in ad blocker that actually stops web ads from loading. And that can reduce your
data usage by up to 28.6%. All Salee plans are compatible with iOS and Android. And if it's not
compatible with your phone, you get a full refund. So if you want to give this a try, go to my link
down below or just simply download the Salee app and use my promo code dumpling to save 15% on all
Salee data plans. It's really cool. So the coffee shop, there's a little sitting area inside the
outside. Okay. They got more stuff to eat here. Oh, they got soups and desserts. Oh, you can get
food here. Hawaiian chicken salad. All right. There's a gift shop over there. Maybe I'll stop
by after dinner. Forgot how big this place was. I am so excited for their dinner buffet. Yep. I
remember all the rocking chairs out front. A little shop over here for all sorts of drinks and snacks
and baked goods. Gift shop upstairs. And there is the buffet. I am so excited for this. Oh, they
also have a la carte menu items. I thought this place was just a full-on buffet. They have like
all sorts of sandwiches, stir fries. Okay. They got dogs and burgers, calamari, different pies
and stuff. And buffet tonight is $20.99. Let's do it. This is probably the biggest Amish buffet chain
in America. Like there's like six locations. So there's three sections to this buffet. I remember
this not being obviously as big as the one in Pennsylvania, Shady Maples, but wow. Okay. Dessert
looks good. Bunch of different pies. This section, this is the barbecue. So this is the Wednesday
barbecue that they're talking about. There's some salmon, corn bread. Looks like the barbecue is
ribs. Some sausages, pulled beef or pulled pork. There's salad bar. Here are the cheesy mashed
potatoes, mac and cheese, bread pudding, fried fish. And I just ran into a fresh batch of fried
chicken. Oh, meatloaf, glazed ham, pulled beef, gourmet mashed potatoes for sure. Cream corn. This
fish looks good. Piece of that. Fresh fried chicken. Take a couple pieces. Looks like some
pulled beef. Definitely some meatloaf. I was looking for tartar sauce in spite of desserts.
Round one. This is a really, really meaty round. Obviously everything here is homemade. All right,
let's get right to business. Right to the fried chicken. Oh, look at this. That is a gorgeous
piece of fried chicken. Oh, you hear that, right? Oh, I love the fried chicken so much. Look at this
thin layer of crunchy. You heard it. Crunchy skin on the outside. Perfectly seasoned. Juicy,
juicy meat inside. Oh, this is like the perfect classic fried chicken. The seasoning is simple
because it's old school fried chicken. Look how perfectly it's fried. Golden brown. Beautiful on
the outside. Listen to this. The skin is like golden brown chicken chips. Old school classic
fried chicken. So it's just letting the richness of the chicken do the talking. That perfectly
fried golden skin on the outside. Nothing fancy about this. Just super well done. Perfectly cooked
fried chicken. Amazing. Chase that with some of this cream of corn. Oh, that is a sweet, sweet corn.
Gourmet mashed potatoes and shredded beef. It's so good. Thank you. That gourmet mashed potato,
it's life. Man, I got some tartar sauce for the fish, but I kind of got it all over the fried
chicken. It's okay. Actually, tartar sauce and fried chicken, that's a pretty good combo. Look
at this glistening, juicy, juicy piece of fried chicken. I call this dangerous fried chicken right
here because every time you go back, you're going to want some fried chicken. It's just staring at
you. You know, it's all glowing and golden. Begging to be put on your plate. This and that cheesy
gourmet mashed potato, what a combo. Also, the shredded beef looks awesome too. Look how juicy
this thing is. Yeah, it's juicy. Juicy, tender, all that good stuff. I freaking love this mashed
potatoes. I'm going to save some for my meatloaf. Try some of this fish with this tartar sauce. Oh,
this fish is glistening. This whole plate is full of glistening meat. Are you kidding me? I almost
glossed over this fish. I'm just like, eh, it's fried fish. How good could it be? How is it so
freaking tender on the inside? Like light crunch on the outside. It's so tender. This is a hidden
star of the buffet. Oh, this is done perfectly.
The breading is gentle with a tiny bit of crunch and the inside is so flaky and juicy. This tartar
sauce is good too. It's so crazy knowing that they made all this stuff, like probably including
the tartar sauce. Oh, this is an amazing piece of fish. Fish, honestly, at any buffet is usually
the weakest link. Fish here is incredible. I know this is going to be good. This is one of my
favorite things, favorite things in the world. Meatloaf. Thank you. I love that meatloaf.
There's trouble because it's such a dense dish, but it's so freaking good, you know?
Round two. Let's go get some barbecue. Whoa, look at this red beet egg. A little bit of barbecue
pork, sausage, potatoes. All right, the last fish was so good. Let's try out the salmon. Huh, I don't
know what this is. Ritz? Some cornbread. Oh, they said they're going to change that out. That's
actually like a chowder. Yeah, these ribs look nice and tender. Round two. Barbecue plate. Got
some ribs. These look so tender, by the way. Some sausage, pulled pork, stuffing, potatoes, salmon,
cornbread. This is like a cream of cauliflower. Huh, tastes like cheesy cauliflower. Yeah, pulled
pork is good. Sausage is great. I think that's better than pulled pork. Pretty snappy tasting
on that sausage. I think the highlight of this plate is going to be the ribs. I was like trying
to pull one of these ribs out. Look at this. Like, you don't see this on a buffet, usually.
This is some crazy tender ribs. Whoa, whoa. Ribs are amazing. If the buffet was the Avengers,
these ribs would be Captain America. Is Captain America the star of the Avengers? He is, right?
This is so good. I love ribs. I've had a lot of ribs in my life. This is the best ribs I've ever
had from a buffet, for sure. Not just a buffet. If you go to any restaurant, they give you ribs
like this. You'd be pretty happy. First of all, they are 100% as tender as I thought. Like,
this thing's just falling apart. Look at this bone. This bone coming out. Clean. Nothing.
Oh my gosh, this thing is incredible. It's a nice caramelized crust on the outside. This is
delicious crust. It's not overly sweet. Like, I think the pulled pork, for me, is a little too
sweet. But these ribs are perfect. Oh, they're smoky, too. Chase it with some homemade cornbread.
Cornbread is good, too. Man, these ribs are incredible. The ribs and the fried chicken,
star of the show for me right now. Got some stuffing, too.
Stuffing is stuffing. Stuffing is kind of like Hawkeye, you know? It's nice that it's there,
but it really doesn't move the needle that much. Ribs, fried chicken, cornbread, even the sausage.
Really good. Oh, look at the salmon. Look how tender this thing is. Look at all the herbs on
here. This is something I would have totally ignored on a buffet, but since that first fish
was so good. Salmon is awesome. That salmon is so good. Wow, I wish I had that before my ribs,
because obviously the ribs are gonna dilute the salmon flavor a lot. But this is some tender,
fatty, juicy salmon. They do fish so well here. What is this? Oh, it's like a beef stew. Yeah,
it's like a shredded beef stew. Fresh cornbread. Love this cornbread. A little bit of beef stew.
Got some potato salad. More fish, more ribs, more cornbread. Oh, it's more like a beef soup
than a beef stew. It's really good beef soup. This all tastes like really good home-cooked stuff,
you know? I feel like compared to Southern comfort food buffets, which I had in the Carolinas and in
Georgia, Amish buffets, the flavors are way less aggressive. It's almost like a buffet-soothing
lullaby. They got fresh fish, so I had to get a piece. This fish is so incredible. I think my
biggest question about this buffet is, why is the tartar sauce by the desserts? We may never know.
Yeah, barbecue ribs. Just insane how easily it falls off the bones.
Even if they don't have the buffet here, I'll come here for a rack of ribs. This place has
better ribs than some barbecue places I've been to. It's not a giant buffet, so I pretty much
tried everything I want to try, except for the stuff on the salad bar, which, man, I know what
lettuce tastes like. I think after this, some fried chicken, more ribs, and we'll talk about dessert.
One more savory round. You know you're having a lucky buffet day when whenever you go to the
buffet, they bring out a fresh batch of fried chicken? That's when you know the buffet guys
are looking out for you. I haven't had a piece of breast yet. All you can already tell is it's so
freaking crispy on the outside. That's such a juicy piece of chicken breast. If you do come
to a buffet like this, you gotta make sure you budget nap time afterwards. Like, every dish in
this place tastes like somebody's grandmother cooked it, and she will be offended if you left
hungry. Seriously, I'll choose right here. Oh my gosh. Good talk to me, pizzas. I usually prefer
breast meat. If you ever come here, grab yourself a thigh. You hear that crunch? First you get that
blast of crunch, then you get the burst of juice. I don't know how much a bucket of KFC goes for
nowadays. I'll say probably at least $20. You can get a bucket of KFC, or you can come to this buffet.
Easiest choice ever. I'll tell you guys another buffet tip, by the way. No matter how much you
eat at a buffet, as long as you order like a diet soda, cancels everything out. Ooh, Dutch Delight,
and a piece of blueberry pie. So Dutch Delight is like a mix of a bunch of stuff. It's like a
layered creamy dessert, just rich enough to kind of make you forget you just had like three plates
of fried chicken. Chocolate, a little peanutty. Everything on this buffet is designed to make
sure you roll out of here. Blueberry pie, my favorite. That's great. It's gonna be a tough
hour drive after this. I think for me, at the end of a buffet, I know I gotta stop is when I sneeze,
and my belly feels like it's ripping. I'm pretty sure at this point, my blood type is just gravy.
Let's buy some snacks. I just love these jams and stuff. Last time I got, I think I got the apple
butter that was super good. It's pretty funny. Bear jam, gator jam, frog jam, traffic jam. Yeah,
this stuff, apple butter is really good. Wow, they got a whole ginormous gift shop upstairs. So I'm
gonna be in this area till tomorrow afternoon. I'm definitely good for today, but we'll come
back tomorrow and see what we can find for breakfast. This is the type of food that you
really cannot find in the Pacific Northwest. So yeah, get it when I can get it. Good morning.
I gotta show you guys this place. You're gonna love it. This is one of the greatest grocery
stores in Florida, and it's about eight o'clock in the morning, and look how full the parking lot
is right now. You gotta get here early. This place gets crowded quick. So this is a grocery store
started by a Mennonite family. This place is so, so awesome. So here, all fresh produce at just
phenomenal prices. You especially want to come here for fresh fruits. You can core your own
pineapple here, and this store has some awesome, awesome food. The deli section is insane,
especially their lobster rolls. Their lobster rolls are incredible. I don't know if it's gonna
be too early for a lobster roll. Let's see what they'll make me one. Eight o'clock in the morning.
Also, their seafood's great too. The seafood, fresh from Florida. Oh, they actually do have
the lobster rolls here. There we go. And I got a breakfast sandwich, and there's stuff at the
bakery. Of course, this place is gonna freshly bake pretty much everything. There's of course
pies. This is the famous Florida key lime pie. There's cheesecakes. Oh, the key lime cups are
gone. This is like all made from scratch here. Got a cinnamon roll. Here they are, key lime cups.
See, only $2.99 for a giant key lime cup. There's fried pies too. And here, it's not just ice cream.
You can get protein shakes, acai bowls, and this is all locally made ice cream.
One thing about Florida that I never, ever will get used to is this crazy sun. Pretty hot even
early in the morning. Got some of these ginger, ginger cinnamon candy to take home too. First
things first, breakfast sandwich. They have a bunch of sandwiches. They have like a brisket
sandwich they make here, a meatball sandwich. They have soups too. Key thing is, they make everything.
Like all the bread they use, everything. This is way bigger than a typical Egg McMuffin. Eggs,
cheese, and sausage. As you can see, fresh egg. None of that liquid egg powder stuff.
Ah, freaking delicious. One of the best breakfast sandwiches you'll find anywhere is at this
grocery store. The English muffin is so different than what you can get anywhere else. So much
bigger, fluffier. My 10 out of 10 breakfast sandwich. It's so good. From the sausage,
to the cheese, to the egg, to the McMuffin. Like you taste the difference. Everything is so fresh
here. Like $3.99. I mean, how much is an Egg McMuffin at McDonald's? Lobster roll for breakfast.
Look how much lobster meat you're getting here. Fresh, giant chunks of lobster meat. Some claw
there. Dump it. This won't even fit. Oh my gosh, it's not fitting at all. It's not gonna fit in
that roll. That's too much lobster. Oh man, it's falling apart. Oh no. Like nowadays, you get a
lobster roll anywhere, it's like $30. Right? $30. It's $18. Oh my gosh, this is so much lobster.
It's awesome. This is such a good price for a lobster roll. This thing's just absolutely
loaded with sweet lobster meat. Like this bread is good too. Yeah, I wish I could have toasted it
with some butter. Only thing bad about Florida, I just got bit by something. It's like a tiny little
mosquito, but when it bites you, it hurts. All right, you know what? I gotta finish the rest of
the stuff in the car. It's getting a little dangerous out here. I should have just brought
everything back to my hotel. What was I thinking? Look at this. Oh, so much better. The Florida sun
absolutely unforgiving. All right, drop like 20 degrees. Breakfast cinnamon roll. Ah, that's a gooey
cinnamon roll. Freshly made too. Oh, it's such an awesome cinnamon roll. Perfect with some coffee.
This is a really gooey cinnamon roll. Like really, really gooey. Oh man, I miss this. The baked goods
in this area, in the Amish Mennonite community, it's incredible. I probably should have had some
key lime pie before the cinnamon roll. This is a hefty key lime pie for like two bucks. $2.99, $3.00.
This is like at least a third of a pound of key lime pie. Made with real key limes. I mean that's
not a key lime, but this is real key lime here. And you can tell this is the color you want to
see when you're digging into a key lime pie or a key lime cup. Oh, and that's gonna make you pucker up.
Oh yeah, that'll make you pucker up real good. This is great. This is more like a key lime pudding
than a key lime pie, but I mean it's got a little pie crust on the bottom. This is one of those
must-try things here in Florida. Make sure when you're eating something like this with a cinnamon
roll, anything, giant cup of coffee. Go great with it. Yeah, this is so hard to find outside of Florida.
A real key lime. That's one of my all-time favorite grocery stores to go to around Florida. In other
parts of Florida too, South Florida, like there's a place in Florida called Farmer Joe's. Amazing
sandwiches, fresh produce, fresh local fruits. I feel like grocery stores in Florida, it's just
better. Overall, it's pretty good breakfast. Great lobster roll for breakfast. If you are ever in
Florida, you see that grocery store, go get yourself a breakfast sandwich. You're gonna love it. So much
bigger and better than a typical English muffin breakfast sandwich. Plan for today, guess I'm
done. And lunch, you're gonna love lunch. Lunchtime, I am back at Yoder's to try their lunch out.
I think this is my first time eating at an Amish restaurant that's not a buffet. Today's special,
there's chicken liver, smoked barbecue chicken, and get a burger. Manhattan sounds good too. This
stuff looks really good. There's shepherd's pie. Yeah, this is all just pure comfort food here.
Mom's homemade chili, fried chicken. When you call something mom's chili on the menu, that makes me
want a bowl. This is a freaking meaty chili. I mean there's a lot of beans in here, but there is also
so much meat. I was a good choice getting this chili, freshly baked bread. The chili goes really
good with the bread, especially this bread. The texture is amazing, look at this. Like normal bread
just kind of falls apart. This is good bread. If you ever come here, you gotta get a bowl of chili.
It's like 80% meat. This looks beautiful. Meatloaf, mashed potato, gravy, cheesy grits,
my fried chicken. Oh yeah, that's a crispy fried chicken. Turkey and gravy on the bottom. This is
about as classic of a meal as it gets. Start with some cheesy grits. These are so good.
Like super creamy cheesy grits. Okay, this is gonna be absolutely masterful,
I am sure. This is so freaking crispy and piping hot.
This is such amazing crispy fried chicken. Let the skin fell off. Look how thin and light it is.
Just like the fried chicken I got at the buffet. Lightly seasoned, classic flavors,
and just filled with juice. This is one of the juiciest pieces of fried chicken you'll ever find.
Mashed potato is good. I didn't really care for the turkey, but it was part of the trio.
It's actually pretty tender turkey. I love the meatloaf. They brought over a little chili,
or cranberry sauce for the turkey. Homemade cranberry sauce. Pressing on the plate,
fried chicken. So good. Fried chicken. I like the cheesy grits more than mashed potatoes.
I won't be able to have a meal like this for a long time after today.
Not find something like this in Washington. I mean, good.
Wouldn't taste as good. Okay, dessert time. When they asked me if I wanted a slice of pie,
I said, sure, I want a slice of pie. This is a slice of pie. This is like half a pie,
but it's a slice of pie. This is their pie of the month. This is a blueberry pie with cream
cheese, and of course, tons of whipped cream. This pie looks like it lives on the top of Whistler,
and it just got dumped on. Giant, fresh blueberries, cream cheese. This is a monstrosity
of a pie. Mmm. This pie is freaking amazing. This is one of the best pies of all time.
Seriously, no joke. Plump, juicy blueberries. For those of you who like fruit, whipped cream,
for those of you that like flavor, so glad I was able to get a piece of pie before getting
out of here. More like half a pie. Biggest pie ever. One bad thing about food like that,
that's probably the worst thing to eat before a long drive, because your stomach feels good,
your body feels good, now I'm all sleepy and stuff. So hopefully a large cup of coffee works.
And before my flight, there's one more place I need to show you guys. This place is amazing. I
might go in there for a while. I kind of miss these random Florida thunderstorms. This is
good hot pot weather. So I'm in Fort Myers right now. I'm going to show you guys a pizza place,
Uncle Rico's. This place is amazing, and they do sell by slice now.
So here's the thing. They stopped selling slices after two o'clock, so no more slices. I just went
ahead and got a whole pie, because if I leave Florida without eating at this place, I feel
like something's just not complete. Look at this. Look at this beautiful pepperoni pie. $18. You get
a cheese pie for $16. The prices are ridiculous for freshly made pizza. So if you get a cheese
pie, it's like $2 a slice. I'm probably not going to finish it all, so I'm going to put the rest in
my smaller takeout box. I'm going to take it back home with me. This is one of the best pizzas you
can find in Florida. Like perfect New York style. Look how beautiful the crust is. Nice and airy.
Undercarriage, amazing. Beautifully charred undercarriage. Look at the bubbles here.
Pepperoni, little cups of pepperoni with a little chili oil floating inside. That's so good.
For me, 9.5. It's so thin and crispy. Sauce is good, cheese is great. This is one of my favorite
pizzas in Florida. $18 for this whole pie. Are you kidding me? That's like domino prices. Like no
joke, the ingredients, the cheese and everything is top-notch. I'm going to be able to eat more
than half before I take this on a plane. It goes down so easy because it's just incredibly light.
And I'm eating outside because this way the pizza will stay warm longer. I have like 15 minutes to
eat and get to the airport, so see you in a bit. All right, just got a few slices left. Take it
home with me. Now it feels complete. And as always, I'll place my windows down below for
you guys. Thank you all so much for watching. Until we eat again, see you later.
