LITTLE ROCK COP HOLDS GUN TO UNARMEDMANS HEAD

Little Rock Police Department placed officer Thomas Shook, on leave as part of an internal investigation into an incident in which the officer pointed a gun at a subdued, unarmed man’s head while arresting HIM.

Williams, who is Black and was found to be unarmed, can be heard asking why Shook, who is white, is pointing a gun at him. Another officer brushes Shook’s weapon away from William’s head. The two other officers accompanying Shook were both Black.

The store clerk declined to press charges, according to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Mayor Frank Scott Jr. made a social media post Friday addressing the incident, stating that he is “deeply disappointed in what occurred.”

“It warrants a complete and thorough investigation into the officer’s conduct,” the post read.
