I run a small web design business on the side. A few local companies pay me between $49 and $200 a month, one of them trades me work instead of money, and an AI agent runs most of it. No office, no employees, no ad spend.
People ask how you get a local business to pay you every single month. So this is the actual thing I do. The four questions I ask on the first call, and the document I send afterwards, which is the part I think most people get wrong.
Most people have the call, take some notes, then send a two paragraph email that says great talking to you, let me know. Then they wonder why the customer went quiet. The customer didn't go quiet. They just had nothing to look at, and nothing to take to their team.
So I paste my messy call notes into gamma.app and it turns them into a proposal. It worked out on its own that it was writing for a pressure washing owner operator with limited time and tech experience. I never told it that. It also built a slide about the customer keeping his site and profile if he ever stops paying, off one line in my notes about a question he asked on the call.
Then you share it as a link and you can see whether they opened it and which slide they stopped on. That changes the follow up completely. If he read to the last slide I know he saw the price. If he stopped on slide two, something about the proposal is wrong.
The pressure washing company in this video is a made up example. I am not putting a real client on camera.
