Portmeirion Village
Portmeirion village strikes a surprising pose beside North Wales’ Afon Dwyryd Estuary. Conceived and created from the singular vision of Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, this Italian-influenced village and its sub-tropical gardens were more than 50 years in the making between 1925 and 1975.
Snowdonia National Park
As the largest National Park in Wales with the UK’s highest mountain
Seaside Towns

Castles

Steam Railways & Canals
North Wales’ Dee Valley Line is one of the region’s best-preserved heritage railway lines and operates a daily service. Its Llangollen Steam Railway Station is worth a visit alone for the preserved 19th-century architecture and pretty location beside the River Dee.

Betwys-y-Coed
The Victorian Betwys-y-Coed is a picture-perfect village just inside the north-easterly corner of Snowdonia. Woodland encases the village and the National Park’s mountains rise up in the distance. The River Conwy flows through it and nearby waterfalls, lakes and natural springs complete the chocolate-box picture.
Zip World
Zip World is spread across four locations – three in North Wales – offering four different experiences. The Smallest House in Great Britain
At just 72 inches wide by 122 inches high, the smallest house in Great Britain is found on Conwy’s quayside. Recently refurbished, it only takes a few minutes to look around its single bed, fireplace and coal bunker but there’s no way of measuring its quirky charm.
Cave and Mining Attractions
The long tradition of mining for gold, copper, silver, lead and coal in Wales is inextricably linked to the lives and livelihoods of its people and there are a great number of underground attractions – from mine tours to extreme adventures – to check out while visiting North Wales.
Palé Hall
Positioned at the border of Snowdonia National Park, the grand Palé Hall is encased within 50 acres of its very own parkland complete with manicured lawns and wooded hills with the River Dee running through it.
