This week had more lion drama than I was expecting.

The Kambula Pride on a wildebeest carcass. Hyenas arriving and calling for backup. And then the three Ntsevu Lionesses — a pride with a lot of history with the Kambula, and absolutely no intention of leaving quietly.

But before I get into what happened when those two prides met, it's worth knowing that the Ntsevu Pride had already tried their luck at a different carcass earlier in the week. That one didn't go their way either.

There's also a Gijima Male doing something I genuinely didn't expect to see, and a very welcome update on the Nkoveni cubs.

And at the end of the week — a brief sighting of a leopard that changes the shape of a story we've been watching for a while.
