Hey guys!
It's Rachel and today I'm here to do my 22 week pregnancy update.
I am 22 weeks and 4 days today.
The baby is the size of a corn on a cob.
I can tell he's getting so much bigger because his kicks are stronger and sometimes I'll
have my hands on my belly and he'll kick them off which is in-freaking-sane and he's also
about a pound this week so that's really cool.
And let me just bring this up you guys.
I filmed this entire video earlier, I purposely got ready, like put makeup on and everything
like that.
I was looking so good about 3 hours ago and I filmed everything and then right when I
was about to upload it, I realized I deleted it.
I don't know how but I deleted it so I'm a little annoyed about that but it's okay because
I still kept the makeup on and now I'm looking a little bit crazy but y'all gonna have to
work with me.
Also, happy Sunday!
It is Easter Sunday today.
But so what's been going on with me this week?
I've been extremely tired, the fatigue has kicked in.
I get sleepy throughout the day, I want to say around 3-5 o'clock I'm really really drowsy
so I try to be home around that time and make sure that I get that rest and relax my body
because yeah, I definitely need that for my body.
Also I've been going to sleep a lot earlier, I've been falling asleep around 11-12 before
it was like 2-3ish so I've been sleeping a lot better and I just sleep instantly.
That's why I've been sleeping better because I just, I fall asleep.
I don't have to put myself to sleep is what I'm saying.
The aches and pains are still there but they're not that bad.
I still have leg and thigh pain but it's usually in the middle of the night.
If I get up to use the restroom, I'll have it.
But for the most part when I walk a lot, I don't really feel the aches as bad anymore
and that's because I've been stopping a lot, taking breaks, I don't push myself anymore
to the limit.
I take my time, I walk extremely slow and I just let my body have that rest that it
needs.
I've been drinking tons of water this week, tons, I mean I'm going to say 3 bottles within
a 2 hour time span which is insane.
So that's something new for me and I'm hoping it doesn't have anything to do with me having
diabetes because I know I could have gestational diabetes and I will be having that test done
at my next appointment so I'm hoping for the best and I don't have it but you just never
know because I think that is a sign and I have noticed that I've felt a little bit dehydrated.
I've been constantly drinking water so I don't know, we'll see and I'll definitely update
you guys.
My feet has swelled up once this week, not intensely swollen but slightly swollen so
that's something new.
I don't know where it came from but it made me a little nervous.
I heard that your feet could grow a whole new size or something and it was like, what?
It took me by surprise so I'm hoping that doesn't happen to me but I have noticed slight
swelling and again, I don't know where that came from because I wasn't walking a lot this
particular day when I noticed it so it was just kind of like, wait, what?
Where is this coming from?
My nipples have been itching non-stop so that came back, I mean itching, like non-stop itching,
like my hand is always in my bra so I don't know, I've been lotioning them and it seems
like it's not working, they're still leaking a lot and you know, they're crusty and stuff
so maybe that's what it has to do with and they are sore.
Actually, last night in particular, my left boob was throbbing, like it was painful, painful,
painful, painful so I don't know if this is everybody or if I'm the only one experiencing
this because I thought that your boobs stopped aching like the first trimester but I don't
know because mine ache all the time, they hurt, the nipples are extremely, extremely
sore to touch, I mean extremely sore to touch.
Every time they itch, it's like a hassle for me to scratch them because it makes it even
worse as far as pain-wise so that's something new.
My stomach hasn't been itching as bad because I've been applying cocoa butter, not cocoa
butter, I've been applying Nivea and the Burt B's Stretch Mark Cream so I do both of
those and I want to say I do it like 3-4 times a day as much as possible and so hopefully
I don't get the stretch marks and if I do, I'm hoping that it's light and not as intense
because I am trying to keep up with the cream and you know, making sure my belly is moisturized
so you know, hopefully this week I've had heartburn, I don't know where it came from
because I was eating regular, excuse me, so I guess that's something and the burping
that hasn't stopped.
Ever since I found out I was pregnant, I've been burping like I hate it and it just hasn't
stopped.
I also want to mention that this week has been big as far as me looking pregnant so
before I felt like I didn't really look pregnant, I mean I did my opinion to myself and my friends
and family, they noticed it of course because they were in front of me but to the outside
world, to strangers, if they were to never know me, they would never see that I'm pregnant
you know.
And now, people are looking and they're like, you know, how far along are you and questions
and so I definitely know for a fact I look pregnant which is super duper interesting
and it makes me happy at the same time, it makes me a little nervous though because when
I'm at school, I do get stares so I don't know.
I actually went downstairs recently and I got myself a pizza and they're all just staring
like it's just so uncomfortable but you know it is what it is so yeah that's that and then
I checked my weight.
In the last video, I put in the description that I was still 138.
I didn't gain or lose anything and I think it's because I threw up last week twice.
This week, I gained a few pounds, I checked my weight again and I was 144 so I'm pretty
sure I'm a little more now because my appetite has increased tremendously you guys.
I never thought I can eat as much as I'm eating now.
I ate a whole pie, like a whole pie by myself just now.
It was a medium size and I ate all six slices or eight slices or I don't know how many slices
come.
I think it's eight.
I ate all of them, yeah and the crust so and I usually just eat two slices so that just
goes to show you I'm eating a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot.
I'm trying to slow it down but you know I can't help it, it's like I need to eat and
so I definitely feel at this point I am eating for two and I eat about, how much do I eat?
I eat about like three big meals and then a lot of snacks and I've heard five to six
small meals but I can't do small meals.
I've tried and I'm just still hungry.
I feel like I get hungrier more and I just don't like to be hungry so I just do three
meals and it satisfies me and the baby and so that is pretty much everything that's been
going on this week.
I'm going to go ahead and show you my belly.
All right so here it is from the front, side, other side, you can also tell mom that my
chest grew and then here is the front of the belly, side and then other side.
So that is what I am looking like.
All right so that is what I'm looking like.
I hope the lighting wasn't too bad as well because it seems really really bright now
that I'm thinking about it but that is what my belly is looking like right now.
It seems as though I got big overnight because now that I'm looking back at previous pictures
and previous videos, I was small and now people are like yeah you look pregnant now so I don't
know that's insane you guys.
Before you know it I'm going to be in the third trimester and I just did my baby registry
so I'm finally moving things along and starting to prepare for the baby shower so I'm super
duper excited.
So that is everything that's been occurring with me this week.
Thank you so much for watching.
Make sure you have a good Easter Sunday and be safe and until next time I'll talk to you
all later.
Bye guys!
