One Day At A Time | Original Country Song

I woke up this morning with a thousand things Running through my mind like restless dreams Questions about tomorrow and what may come Then I heard the father whisper Child, trust my son The sparrows aren't worried about the sky The flowers don't wonder how they'll survive The God who watches over all creation Will carry me through every situation One day at a time One step by faith One prayer in the morning For whatever comes my way I don't need tomorrow To already be mine I'll trust the Lord to lead me One day at a time The road ahead may twist and turn There are lessons yet to learn But God's been faithful every mile And He's never left His child Yesterday is in His hands Tomorrow rests within His plans Today is where His grace is found And His mercy still surrounds When the sun goes down tonight I'll thank Him for His guiding light And when another man shines I'll trust Him one more time One day at a time One step by faith One prayer in the morning For whatever comes my way I don't need tomorrow To already be mine I'll trust the Lord to lead me One day at a time The future isn't mine to hold That's why His promises are gold The shepherd knows the path ahead And by His hand I'll always be led One day at a time One step by faith One prayer in the morning For whatever comes my way I don't need tomorrow To already be mine I'll trust the Lord to lead me One day at a time
