NY Woman Charged With Plotting ISIS-Inspired Bomb Attack On State Capitol To Kill Lawmakers

Jessica Bowie, a 35-year-old Albany resident, was arrested on August 19, 2026, for attempting to provide material support to ISIS. She plotted to bomb the New York State Capitol and target state senators. The plot was foiled by the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force before she could execute the attack or carry out further planned strikes against the White House and Times Square.
