Ryan Lochte's Fiancée Pushes Back on Homewrecker Label

So Kayla has made it seem like you broke some kind of girl code, that Ryan was off limits. Do you feel like that was the case or was Ryan fair game? So I don't look at him as like fair game, but there was never a time that like Kayla was talking to me in those moments that she says that she was like, man, I just really want our marriage to work. I just love him so much. I want to figure this out. Every time it was Ryan's this, Ryan's a piece of crap, Ryan's this, he's a horrible dad, he's a horrible husband, and I do think that Ryan was a horrible husband. Kayla, I do. I think he was an awful husband. And there's things that he's told me that I'm just like, what in the world? Like, you know, she should have got out sooner. They both should have got out sooner. I did not break up your marriage. I'm not a homewrecker. Your home was broken. When I met Ryan, he was not living in the home. You guys, he had fought, you had fought, you had filed for divorce, not Ryan, you. So knowing all these things about Ryan, I guess why would you be with him? Right. And that was really hard for me in the beginning. He reached out to me in 2019 and he said, well, you, my wife is out of town. Do you want to pick me up from the airport? And I wrote him back and I said, I am not into married men. Absolutely not. And I never talked to him again until now, until April, 2026 or 25. And so that was a conversation we had immediately. But what turned for you, for you? Because, you know, it was kind of icky, especially all these things you're hearing about him. Where were you like, okay, I'm going to give this guy a shot. So, um, when I first went out with him, I was single and I was just looking to have fun and like have some drinks and hang out and shoot the ---- with somebody. And really just, there's not a lot of single people in Gainesville and his divorce lawyer was my ex-husband's divorce lawyer. Like we had a lot to talk over and I went on this date with him and I left like, oh crap. I really like this guy. So do you think it's fair to say that Kayla got a very different Ryan Lochte than who you're with now? Absolutely.
