The Paintings I Was Afraid to Share ✧ Tiny Yellow Umbrella

These are probably the most personal watercolor paintings I’ve ever made.

In this video, I’m finally sharing the story behind my Tiny Yellow Umbrella series, a collection of miniature watercolor paintings I started after a year of big changes in my life. What began as one tiny painting for Inktober challenge slowly became a way for me to record memories, feelings, doubts, and little moments I didn’t want to forget. I’ll take you through some of the most meaningful paintings in the series, share the ideas and stories behind them, and show you how this little yellow umbrella eventually became a tiny symbol that still appears in my paintings today. Maybe you’ll see something completely different in these paintings, and I’d really love to know what you see. I’ve hesitated for a long time to share this series because it feels so precious to me.
