New strategy to bring Southern Sea Otters back to Northern California

The Turtle Island Restoration Network is proposing the reintroduction of southern sea otters to Drake's Estero in the Point Reyes National Seashore. This effort aims to boost the stalled recovery of the endangered species, which faces barriers to natural northward migration, and leverage the otters' role as a keystone species to restore the local coastal ecosystem.
