For more than thirteen centuries, stories have described Shaddad as a ruler of immense power, connected to the ancient people of 'Ad and the mysterious Iram mentioned in the Qur'an. According to later Islamic traditions, he heard descriptions of paradise and attempted to build his own version on Earth.

But there is a problem.

The Qur'an never mentions Shaddad by name.

No tomb has been found. No inscription identifies him. No archaeological site has been confirmed as his palace. And despite decades of exploration across Arabia, history has never produced physical evidence for the legendary giant king.
