Deep Ocean: Journey Into the Last Hidden World takes you from the sunlit surface to the darkest and deepest places on Earth. Travel through the sunlight zone, twilight zone, midnight zone, abyssal plain, hadal trenches, and finally Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench.

Along the descent, discover how deep-sea creatures survive extreme pressure, darkness, low oxygen, and scarce food. From bristlemouth fish, barreleyes, viperfish, fangtooth, vampire squid, sea cucumbers, and xenophyophores to hadal snailfish and amphipods, each layer reveals a different strategy for survival.

This ocean documentary also explores diel vertical migration, bioluminescence, the biological carbon pump, manganese nodules, deep-sea technology, ROVs, AUVs, landers, environmental DNA, and the future of ocean exploration.
