Joining the CCBHC Demonstration: Stronger Care. Stronger Communities.

As part of SAMHSA's Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) Demonstration Program, representatives from West Virginia, Louisiana, Alaska, and Hawaiʻi share how joining the 2026 demonstration is expanding access to comprehensive, community-based behavioral health care in their states. Through these firsthand stories, hear how the CCBHC model is strengthening mental health and substance use services, improving care coordination, and helping communities build more sustainable behavioral health systems for the future. In 2026, these four states were among the newest additions to the CCBHC Medicaid Demonstration Program, marking an important milestone in expanding access to quality behavioral health care nationwide.
