Senior Reform UK figure Gawain Towler has dismissed Rupert Lowe’s offer of a pact as “crackers”, as tensions continue to emerge over the future direction of the party.

Speaking to Camilla Tominey, Reform UK board member Gawain Towler is grilled over Nigel Farage’s decision to call the Clacton by-election, the possibility of further by-elections and claims that Reform UK is struggling to make an impact. Towler rejects suggestions that the party is falling in popularity or failing to achieve its aim of challenging the Conservatives, insisting that Reform’s vote share remains strong.

Towler also addresses the potential pact between Reform UK and Restore Britain proposed by Rupert Lowe, describing the demands as “absurd” and calling the approach “rather performative”. He compares the situation to “Leyton Orient going to Arsenal” and reveals that Lowe texted Nigel Farage but received no response.
