Baby Otter Was Trying to Tell Us Something…

After playing a lot, it’s almost nap time for the otters 🦦💤
Today, just like always, Mom is the first to start her nap.
Umami and Maromi always come over to where Mom is sleeping, running right over her or jumping around 😂
But today, something seems off.
Both of them are chirping away and just won’t go to sleep.
“I wonder what’s wrong?”
As I watched them, Umami suddenly turned to look at me and made a gesture as if trying to tell me something.
Could it be…?
So, I decided to bring something out.
And the moment I brought out the big bed—
Silence.
It was as if their crying just a moment ago had never happened; they stopped immediately and started getting ready for their nap 🤣💕
It seems the two of them were trying to say, “We want to sleep in the big bed today!”
Umami and Maromi are gradually learning to communicate what they want to humans.
Watching them express things like “I want this” or “I want you to do this” really makes me realize just how much they’ve grown.
It was such a cute day, seeing them try so hard to convey their feelings with their tiny bodies 🦦💕
