A Year on Dartmoor is a wildlife documentary filmed over the course of a year on Dartmoor National Park, following the changing seasons and the wildlife that calls the moor home. From winter storms and biting winds to the quieter abundance of spring and summer, the film explores life on one of Britain’s most iconic landscapes.

Dartmoor is the place I grew up and still call home. Living on the moor shaped my love for wildlife and filmmaking from an early age, and this film is the result of spending a year observing the land and its inhabitants with patience and care. It focuses on the small, often unnoticed moments — the rhythms, behaviours, and challenges that define life here.

This documentary is both a portrait of Dartmoor’s wildlife and a personal journey through a landscape that has always been part of my life.
