Making a Sunlight-Powered Aquarium (With No Filter)

Window aquariums are famously a bad idea because it's easy for algae to take over, but I had a 6ft open windowsill and a dream. Despite catastrophic failure along the way, a bit more DIY and aquascaping kept the adventure on track. From dealing with the challenges of algae and direct sunlight to creating a thriving, low-tech, planted ecosystem, this project has been a mix of experimentation and discovery in an unusually narrow form factor.
