2027 GranTurismo Trofeo Review | POV Drive, Exterior, Interior & Sound

so here we are maserati gran turismo trofeo 2027. so this is the latest facelift of the iconic gran turismo and this is the trofeo version which means this is the highest spec you can get on this car and they did some exceptionally unusual things for a facelift i would say and they're very good so let me show you so here in the front we have the new maserati design language which means we have one very dominant line which separates the upper half with the lower half of the car so the upper half of this car as you can see looks very sculptured very few lines very classic in a way i think it suits the car really good and on the bottom half we have a very technical part you see a lot of lines a lot of shapes a lot of elements here we also have the new carbon fiber splitter down here which is very cool we have this new yeah very aggressive looking front but we still have the big maserati grill with the tridente logo which this year is 100 years tridente which we are celebrating and on the side we now have the trofeo leathering as before and down here we have a carbon splitter throughout the whole side very cool as well on the front we now have yellow caliper as options but they're not ceramic they're still steel but very cool and this new wheel design which i really like it looks very subtle very nice over here we have the as well and here you can also see the sculpture thing i meant earlier very cool the lines and shapes but it's very classy on the other hand here we have now a carbon fiber spoiler and down here we have some more carbon fiber we have this flap on the other side as well and here we have something very special i think this is the best part of this facelift but we'll come to that in a minute over here in the middle we have a more aggressive diffuser very cool i mean look at that car i'm here in italy beautiful roads beautiful weather so as you can see the exterior got some decent upgrades we also got new taillights we also got new headlights which is pretty common for a facelift but one thing i still didn't mention but first let's move over to the interior you can already see that we got some new materials we now have italian leather everywhere which is really cool it feels really premium i like it this is real carbon fiber so i actually didn't notice because it doesn't have the coating or something it's matte yeah but i know matte carbon fiber but i never saw it with this structure you can really feel the fibers very cool so we're now in the interior and here we have this beautiful new steering wheel where we have perforated leather over here and this new center piece which also has perforated leather but the biggest change is that you now can optionally have this in alcantara and this one turns alcantara as well which is in my opinion very premium and very much needed then we have here the drive selector of course when we put it in corsa where we see this beautiful dash now with the center analog screen here where we have the gear selector we have geforce meter and we have some informations about the turbo the torque and the oil pressure which is really cool in my opinion and over here we have the biggest new change the new display but actually it's not a fully new display the major part they changed is the gear selector because previously this was something which didn't feel that great to the customers because you had this plastic buttons now you have a metal lever kind of thing where you can select the gears over here we also got an updated watch which is very iconic to maserati on the other side we have some beautiful italian leather the gran turismo lettering over here a little italian flag over there very cool we also have yellow contrast stitching which is a very cool detail in my opinion and over here we have the usual gran turismo seats which are very comfy and made for longer trips but now something very cool is that we have an alcantara roof as standard which feels very premium we also of course have the a-pillar in alcantara and also those little things very cool and very premium so as you can see the interior got a major update in terms of leather quality in terms of modernization so this is a very good facelift but we're still missing a point and that point will blow your mind because for that i actually have to go to the outside it has to do with the exhaust so maserati owners complained a lot of yeah it doesn't sound like a maserati it's not that maserati i want something more aggressive because i mean remember where they come from ferrari v8 i mean this is completely mental and now we have the neptuno v6 which now in this model has 590 horsepower which is pretty fast but you will see that when we take the car for a spin but first of all let's hear to that sound check so as you could hear this car sounds really really good this is the first time i drive a facelift of a car which sounds better than the older one this is very a good sign so maserati you did an amazing job and i think every car manufacturer should manage to pull that off because we want good sounding cars again but now we will take the maserati gran turismo trofeo for a spin on that amazing curvy road with this amazing view over here so let's hop in so guys we're now in the car and we put it firstly in drive actually in manual and we take it now for a spin because you will be stunned how good this car sounds so we pull out and this is true maserati now wow it sounds so good also the downshifts some very good crackles sounds amazing and also the corner capability is very good and we're here now in italy in trieste we are here for a mega drive and oh this car i mean they really brought back the old emotions of maserati and i'm so happy for them that they pulled that off in a 2027 car i mean also the roads are fabulous over here endless curvy roads very pleasing to drive also the car is very rewarding like it a lot so as i told you earlier they really listened to their customers because the customer were complaining a lot about the gear selector buttons they changed it they're now a haptical kind of lever thing which is really cool and very important that you listen to the customers not many brands do that so uh congratulations you did everything right and the other complaint was the exhaust because the gran turismo trofeo didn't sound that great let's be honest they came from a ferrari v8 and the neptuno engine was maybe not perfectly tuned for the gran turismo trofeo the previous model but now this facelift let me tell you guys this i mean have a listen at yourself it sounds so brutal again it's true maserati that's really cool i can't get enough you don't understand how good this car is sounding because i'm not sure if you really feel it through through the video because it's very characteristic it's very yeah i would already say it's iconic because it's very different sounding from other models the facelift itself regarding the engine got an upgrade of around 40 horsepower i think it has now 590 so that's not a lot but it's common for a for a facelift that they get around this horsepower increase the newton meter although stayed the same and it's not really faster but it feels faster because you have to talk a little bit earlier so that's a very cool upgrade in terms of responsibility of the car it feels more agile it feels more responsive it really is focused on the driver itself and i think this is really important although this is a gran turismo car and you used to drive longer distances you can really still push it and drive really fast in that car and enjoy the ride itself because it's a very good sports car now so you hear now about exterior upgrades about the engine upgrades about the interior upgrades about the
