A Walk Around Vladimir. Part One of our 2026 Spring Trip.

We spent the weekend in the beautiful city of Vladimir, Vladimir Oblast. Vladimir is one of the oldest cities in Russia, founded in the 12th century. It is famous for its historical monuments, such as the Golden Gate and the Assumption and Demetrius Cathedrals, which are examples of ancient Russian architecture and are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Today, Vladimir is a major tourist destination, attracting travelers from all over the country.
