This is real – “Camp Rock” is almost back on our screens! Access Hollywood chatted with Demi Lovato, Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, and Kevin Jonas at the “Camp Rock 3” premiere in Los Angeles where they reflected on what they remember from the premiere of the original Disney Channel movie 18 years ago. “I was so nervous! And look at me – I didn’t know how to pose,” Lovato said before sharing what advice she’d give her younger self. “I would have said, ‘It’s okay to take breaks. And to take time off when you need it.’ That’s something that I’ve learned how to do later in life, and it’s helped me so much to protect my mental health and, yeah, just knowing that the best is yet to come.” Meanwhile though the Jonas Brothers didn’t remember much from the 2008 premiere, besides how hot it was, they gave a hilarious answer regarding who’s changed the most. “I believe the purity rings have. They’ve changed the most,” Joe joked. Plus, Kevin revealed that his daughters, Alena, 12, and Valentina, 9, are fans of the movies. “Camp Rock 3” is set to be released on Disney Channel on August 13 and on Disney+ the following day.

What do we think has changed the most and who's changed the least?
I believe the purity rings have.
Why was now the perfect time to bring this movie back?
I don't know if there was ever going to be a perfect time, to be honest.
I mean, we read the script, we spoke about it, we felt like this would be a really exciting project.
We knew we couldn't do it without Demi.
We wanted this to be something that we could bring back to the screen
for the beloved fans that have been asking for many, many years.
And so everything comes in the right timing.
So maybe it was perfect timing, maybe it was just a call that said,
hey, you guys want to do it?
So it's one of those many things.
And how is it bringing it to a new generation, one that your kids are a part of?
Have your kids watched yet? Are they fans?
Of course. They've seen it, they've seen the original Camp Rocks,
but now they just watched the new one, the third one, and they loved it.
They are massive Disney fans, big Descendants fans.
So the fact that I'm in a movie with Malachi, I've now officially been cool again.
So it's great.
That was the only reason.
Yeah, it's the only reason. It worked out.
That's fair. That's fair.
And we're here 18 years later after the first one.
This was you guys 18 years ago.
Do you want to take that for me?
What do you remember about that premiere night?
No idea. I don't remember a thing.
I don't remember being there.
Honestly, but I do remember it was a great film.
I remember being really hot.
And so I'm really glad that this time they moved the carpet inside.
Where was it?
In New York.
Yeah, at Ziegfeld Theater in New York City.
Who do we think has changed the most and who's changed the least?
I believe the purity rings have.
They've changed the most.
And what's changed the least?
That good hair.
That good hair from our mother.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Have a good night.
You look beautiful.
Thank you.
Congratulations on the film.
Why was now the perfect time to bring Camp Rock back?
I think it all just came together right now.
And it's been almost 20 years.
So I think now is the best time.
Why not?
And this was not the first Camp Rock reunion.
You two have collaborated.
What was it like showing up as surprise guests at each other's shows?
It was so great and so rewarding to be able to reunite with them
and to be their special guest at their show.
And then vice versa, Joe came out on my tour for It's Not That Deep.
And it was just so fun and great to see them.
And how surreal was it seeing the fans' reactions?
Oh my gosh, they were ecstatic.
So I know how much those surprise appearances meant to them.
And I know that this film is going to mean just as much.
And the first premiere was 18 years ago.
What do you remember about that night?
I was so nervous.
And look at me, I didn't know how to pose.
I know now.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
I would have said it's okay to take breaks
and to take time off when you need it.
And that's something that I've learned how to do later in life.
And it's helped me so much to protect my mental health.
And yeah, just knowing that the best is yet to come.
Thank you so much. Have a great night.
