El Gregorio Marañón diseña y fabrica la primera prótesis ósea personalizada de metamaterial

The Gregorio Marañón University General Hospital in Madrid has created the world's first personalized metamaterial bone prosthesis. Using 3D printing and aerospace engineering, the hospital developed a titanium alloy implant for a 38-year-old patient with a high-grade tibial sarcoma, successfully avoiding amputation and preserving the patient's knee joint and mobility.
