Hello everyone, welcome to our 2026 garden tour. We are gardening here in Roanoke, Virginia,
zone 7b, used to be 7a, and actually I already made a video probably five days ago and then
uploaded it on YouTube, but then something went wrong, it's gone. So now, and I already
deleted my video on my phone, so now I have to do it again for our kids sake. So I hope you enjoy
the tour. To start with, I'm in the middle of this little lime punch, and here we are looking at the
Anna's Magic Ball, the firelight tidbit. We also have variegated liriope here with
white and red vinca, excuse the thunder. I don't know if you can hear that, but I can hear it.
Look at this one. I think this one is so beautiful right here. Now here we have butterfly bushes here.
We have the pogster blue and the amethyst. Hello there. Here we're looking at the
PG hydrangea. Beautiful. This is just a misty lilac wave petunia with creeping genie and
underneath is sweet flag grass. We also have the tiara blue and supertunia vista
jazz, cool jazz. And in the bottom, this is the cool jazz, but the mama groundhog and the
four babies, they love the petunia. So next year I'm not gonna plot petunia here.
This is just a bobo. They're trying to grow back, but they're not as beautiful as what I was
expecting. We have celosia, black-eyed susan. We also have the standard firelight tidbit,
another celosia, black-eyed susan right there with bobo. This is a
knockout standard that I have to trim. It has gotten big. And my favorite, perfect storm.
This year it has gotten big. Look at that. Here we have a zinnia. I didn't plant the zinnia.
It grew there, so I just didn't move it. And we have variegated sun patience,
some vincus with the cool jazz petunia and the white angelonia. We have bobos and then we have
limelight prime there in the back. Okay, we also have phlox here. Another perfect storm,
hardy hibiscus. Look at that. This is just another standard of the knockout. We have
sun patience in the bottom. And we have limelight prime in the back, that one. And the tall one,
those tall ones, they're limelight standard on the pot. We had days of
heatwave and I wish I did it sooner because the hydrangeas, some of the blooms are already
dry and dried up. And look at this one. Anyway, let's move on on the other side. Here I have two
gold glow, orange glow standard knockout. So hot today. In fact, I'm sweating right now.
On the other side, let's check the other side. Look at that. Okay, here we have the firelight tidbit,
phlox and black-eyed susan. Another perfect storm. We have another firelight tidbit there.
Here on the side, we have the vincas, the carix and that little giant. Here on the side, we have
the sweet flag grass, blue star juniper, anise magic ball, emerald green. Moving on,
we have a standard rose here that I picked up last year. I don't know the name of this
because they were on clearance. This is firelight tidbit and another firelight tidbit,
zinnias. This is little lime punch standard. Another little lime punch bush in there.
And I picked up this year tiny quick fire. And this is a strawberry sundae,
little hati. There's another little hati there. And this is a standard
limelight. The bottom of that is chasta daisy. And we have another petunia there that I picked
up from the grocery store. Here we have strawberry sundae standard. We have another
PG hydrangea. I love this one. The other side is just grape myrtle that we planted
back in 2009. And on the fence, we have emerald green. Here outside, we have
standard limelight. This is just a creeping juniper that I forgot the name. And I trained it
to look like that standard because it seems like it's not straight. Anyway, I'll just fix it later.
That's holly, blue star juniper, and colorado blue spruce. In the bottom is this
sweet flag grass. And I discovered that the deer won't eat them. So maybe I can put some more here
outside. These are the limelight standard. The knockout roses here. We also have peonies here.
And there at the edge, that's strawberry sundae on the pot.
The reason why we elevated this is because last year, the deer was just eating the bush.
Now here, we have quickfire fab. I put the second fence because the deer was pretty bad.
And next, we have the berry white. And the last one is limelight. Now moving on,
we still have some hydrangea on the other side. See, we have hydrangea here. This used to be
an iris bed, but we took the irises out. And we replaced them with bushes here.
Deer resistant one. I wanted more on the catnip, but they don't have them anymore.
Maybe I'll have to get them next year. Here's another one. Anyway guys, I hope you
enjoyed the tour. And I hope that you're having a good day. And
you take care everyone. God bless. Bye-bye.
