Texas may look like endless desert, but beneath its quiet landscapes are ancient rock art sites, mysterious petroglyphs, prehistoric quarries, shelters, and sacred places that reveal thousands of years of human history.

In this documentary, we explore 13 mysterious ancient sites across Texas, including the Cerro Chino Petroglyphs, Black Hills rock art, The Chimneys, Hospital Rock, Indian Head Petroglyphs, Eagle Nest Canyon, Lewis Canyon, Meyers Spring, Panther Cave, Fate Bell Shelter, Alibates Flint Quarries, Hueco Tanks, and the White Shaman Preserve.

Some of these sites contain carvings dating back 3,000 to 8,500 years, while others reveal evidence of ancient engineering, long-term habitation, trade, astronomy, and sophisticated cultural traditions. The White Shaman Preserve, for example, contains a massive mural that researchers believe may represent a complex cosmological narrative.
