Morning light falls across a village lane, dappled through a tree canopy, terracotta pots warming on old stone steps. The path leaves the village behind, following a shallow stream past a mossy footbridge where a heron stands motionless in the current. Higher up, wildflowers press close to the trail as a wide river bends through the valley below, cattle drinking slowly at its edge. The path descends through white birch and blossoming orchard, petals gathering underfoot, until a wisteria-covered veranda appears — a woman seated nearby, simply looking, a tea set cooling on the table. This is the feeling of arriving somewhere that was always waiting for you.

For quiet mornings, for long walks you take only in your mind, and for the moments when the day needs somewhere soft to land — a painted world to rest inside.
