Jury selection underway in Meta trial at Oakland federal court

Jury selection has begun in Oakland for a high-profile federal trial against Meta. Thirty states, including California, allege that Meta intentionally designed its platforms to be addictive for children and violated the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by collecting data from users under 13 without parental consent.
