VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Experience the stunning transformation from years of apartment renting to finally owning a home! This is a complete tiny house tour of Stephanie's beautiful, custom-built park model home (26 ft long x 15 ft wide). See how she designed this small space for maximum joy, comfort, and functionality, even with full-size appliances!
Watch as Stephanie walks you through the spacious open-concept living area, efficient kitchen, dedicated bedroom, and surprisingly large bathroom. Discover the smart design choices that make small house living feel incredibly free, not restrictive.
Inside the Tiny House:
Open Floor Plan: Welcome inside to a large, bright living area featuring the dining space, living room, and a beautifully laid-out tiny home kitchen. The flow from sink to stove is perfect for easy meal prep.
Kitchen Secrets: Learn the story behind the custom kitchen from Factory Expo Homes. She prioritized a dishwasher (a little smaller, but worth losing some cabinet space!) and chose an all-in-one appliance for baking, broiling, toasting, and air frying, instead of a traditional microwave. Her refrigerator is full-size, and she share her tips for maximizing limited countertop space using a mobile kitchen island/prep station.
Multi-functional Furniture: See how she selected pieces for the living room, including a futon that converts to a bed for guests, and storage-friendly side tables. The kitchen island serves as a dining area, workspace, and extra storage.
Comfort & Climate Control: she showcase sthe wonderful mini-split AC and heat units (one in the living room, one in the bedroom)—an absolute must-have for efficient climate control in smaller spaces.
The Bedroom Retreat: After years in studio apartments, she finds having a separate bedroom is a blessing! This room accommodates a full-size (maybe even queen) adjustable bed and features built-in storage, a deep dresser, and my only closet, creatively organized with storage cubes. Crucial under-bed storage provides even more space for clothes and photos.
Functional Bathroom: Her bathroom feels spacious with a large ceramic shower and functional cabinets. She also shares essential tips for managing humidity and preventing mold in a park model home environment.
My Home Ownership Story & Cost Breakdown:
Hear the unexpected story of how an inheritance provided Stephanie the opportunity to buy her dream tiny home. She worked with Michelle at Factory Expo Homes and secured a brand-new, discounted 2025 model.
Total Cost: The basic package for this lovely home cost a little less than $65,000.
Lot Rent & Community: She lives in a fantastic 55+ tiny home community that exclusively accepts park model homes (under 400 sq. ft.). Her lot rent is in the medium range at around $700 a month.
Key Advice: Always ask questions! The stackable washer and dryer unit was an extra cost, not included in the original package.
