Sonoma State University turns to solar energy

Sonoma State University has launched one of the North Bay's largest solar projects, featuring panels over five parking lots and a massive battery storage system. Installed for free by Total Energies, the system provides carbon-free energy, protects the campus from grid outages, and reduces long-term utility costs by locking in energy rates and selling excess power back to PG&E.
