Despite the trouble and dangers John G. Paton had faced on the island of Tanna (as recounted in the first part of his autobiography), his trust in God's working enabled him to continue on in his missionary work. From traveling through the Australian outback to raise funds for a mission ship to sharing the gospel on the island of Aniwa, Paton brings us along through the joys and difficulties of his work. While much has changed in our world since Paton's time, his life is a challenge to us to work for what matters in eternity and an encouragement to trust in God, who never changes and who will be just as faithful to us as He was to Paton.
