DC severe weather: Storms bring downed trees, lightning and heavy rain

A severe thunderstorm line is moving through the metro area and east of I-95, bringing dangerous straight-line winds up to 60 MPH, heavy rain, and lightning. While some areas like D.C. are seeing the storms move out, southern Calvert and St. Mary's counties remain under warnings. Localized damage, including downed trees, has been reported across Maryland and central Virginia.
