After arriving in July 1809, Jane revised Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice and Northanger Abbey, which she had begun years earlier. She also wrote Mansfield Park, Emma and Persuasion here. Within this modest Hampshire cottage, she wrote, revised and prepared all six of her completed novels for publication.
