Hundreds of Ceuta residents have taken to the streets in protest of the Spanish government’s response to the migrant invasion of the enclave.

On Sunday, Spanish citizens demanded an “immediate, decisive and proportionate” response to the influx of migrants that arrived from Morocco.

According to Euronews, the protest was organised by four religious communities, Christian, Muslim, Jewish and Hindu, in the Spanish enclave.

Chants such as “enough is enough, Ceuta will not surrender”, “Ceuta is not for sale. Ceuta is Spain”, and “Sánchez, resign”.
