In 1859, Charles Dickens launched his own newspaper, 'All the Year Round'. Unsurprisingly, Dickens included many short pieces by--guess who? Dickens was a reporter, a flaneur, and an insomniac, all three traits which prompted him incessantly to walk about, and observe.
