Dodgers struggles return, fall to D-backs 4-2

This weekend inside Chase Field in Phoenix. Hooks one down the left field line towards the pole. Mattel Marte gives Robleski a familiar taste. Robleski over to first and he throws it wide and it's 3-0. Infield is in here for the Dodgers with Carroll at the plate. Grounds one to second. Runner coming home. Edmond coming home and they've got Walshman. The defense giveth and now taketh. Two out. Tell me Edmond makes this play look... It's a base hit. Cut off. Carroll with his speed trying to score from first. Relay from Betts. Sails. Ends up at third. Four to nothing. The Diamondbacks keep on doing it with two outs. In this series hitting close to 400. At first by Locklear. Scrambles for him. Raced to the back. Dives and tags it before Shohei gets there. Looks so similar to what was the game. How it was at first base. Two is right and just kind of kicks off the glove. Give credit to Locklear to stay with this and come right head first into the running Shohei Itani getting there just in time. What an effort. When extra base hits have been a premium. Hernandez strikes out for the third time today. But the Dodgers are within two. That's the ball game. And that's the road trip. The Dodgers go one and five on this trip. And suffer their eighth loss out of their last nine.
