HUGE 5 Year Old Bull Moose Not Quite Ready to Take Over
About a month ago, we shared the story of the Dethroning of Swagger in 2023. “23” (formerly called FlatTop) took over for good that year. But today, let’s look back on the year before…2022, and remind ourselves how a young but VERY large five year old bull nearly took over the rutting area. To be clear, 5 year old bulls rarely make any kind of case to be King of any rutting area, they usually need another year or two to get into that position. 23 is unusual, if and when we locate him in 2026, he’ll be the first moose we’ve ever documented for 8 consecutive years.
