Cop Follows Stray Dog To Abandoned Well Where His Partner Lay Trapped

Officer Desmond Achterlund had been searching for his partner for nearly three hours when the stray dog found him first.

Officer Marguerite Alcañiz-Doyle had gone missing during a foot pursuit through dense forest bordering the county's old farmland, her radio silent, her last known position vague. The search teams were running out of daylight.
