I run almost all of my own marketing with AI agents. About 18 of them. They draft my video titles, run my sponsor outreach, and write and schedule my posts. It is a big part of how I run an entire business as one person.

This video is me telling a lot of you not to do that.

Thanks to Keystone for sponsoring this one. They are a done-for-you marketing agency for local businesses, and this video is a paid partnership with them. I have not been a customer of theirs, so you will not hear me invent results I did not get. What you will get is the honest math on doing your marketing yourself versus hiring it out, which points toward a shop like theirs for some of you and away from it for the rest.

What I cover:

The real cost of DIY marketing. Most people price their own time at zero. Once you count the hours, the tools, and the three months your ads quietly lose money while you learn, DIY is rarely the cheap option. It just never shows up on a bill.

Where my AI agents hit a wall. My setup works because I run an online business. The moment you are a local business it breaks down, and I go through exactly where: the Google Maps pack, reviews and reputation, ad creative that actually knows the neighborhood, and the human relationship layer underneath all of it.

Why I have three angles on this at once. I run a web and marketing agency, so I know what this work costs because clients pay me for it. I run my own marketing on an AI fleet. And I am not selling you a course on AI agents, so I have no reason to push you either direction.

What a done-for-you shop actually takes off your plate, and the kind of owner it genuinely fits.

Who should DIY, and who should not. This is the part most sponsored videos skip.

If you are a local business owner trying to decide whether to keep white-knuckling your own marketing or hand it to someone, this is the breakdown I wish someone had given me.
