George is back from the hospital with a hairline fracture in his wrist, facing six weeks in a plaster cast and a long stretch off work—leaving Amber worried about how they’re going to manage. But a far bigger storm is brewing. When Kira drops by to return Brad’s phone charger, she grills him about his lingering feelings for Amber. Under intense pressure, Brad accidentally lets slip a massive secret: their New Year's Eve kiss!
A distraught Kira flees to her childhood hiding tree. George manages to track her down and bring her back in time for their mum’s surprise party, but Kira lies about why she ran off—leaving Amber terrified of what will happen if George ever finds out the truth.
Meanwhile, Jolene and Kenton attend an unexpected couples counselling session originally meant for Fallon and Harrison. What starts as a joke leads to some deep, unexpected soul-searching about their lives, their habits, and whether they’ve fallen into a rut.
