We were completely snowed in overnight – and that's exactly how our first real powder day in Japan began. In this video, we'll take you to a small, almost forgotten ski resort in the Myoko region, right in the heart of the main island of Honshu. Two lifts, hardly any restaurants, hardly any hotels – but an incredible amount of snow. Welcome to Zeki Onsen.

Everyone's talking about Japow. We've heard about Japan's famous powder, days of fresh snow, perfect tree runs, and endless powder descents. But how good is this snow really? Is Japanese powder skiing really so different from a good powder day in the Alps? That's exactly what we wanted to find out.
