🎨 Marie Elisabeth Aimée Lucas-Robiquet (1858-1959) was an acclaimed French Orientalist painter renowned for her vibrant, empathetic depictions of North African life. As a rare female artist working in Algeria and Tunisia during a heavily male-dominated era, she achieved significant institutional success, exhibiting at the Paris Salon for over forty years and receiving the Legion of Honour in 1922.
