The Dirty Blue Martini - cheese washed gin and homemade olive brine

#wine #winetasting #drink #cocktail
I had a lot of fun making a new martini - The Dirty Blue Martini, a special mix of cheese washed gin with homemade olive brine. In this video, I made it two ways, one with Gorgonzola washed Gin, the other with a Blue Cheese washed Gin.
This was inspired by @TheEducatedBarfly 's video on the Dirty Martini, where he also used a Gorgonzola and Blue Cheese washed Gin for his cocktails. I thought I would take it one step further and design my own olive brine.
Making Olive Brine is simple, it's one cup of Water with one tablespoon each of Salt and Vinegar. I wanted something a little more exciting, so one of the Brines is made with Birch Smoked Salt, White Balsamic Vinegar, Cambodian Kampot Peppercorns, and Lemon Zest, while the other is Himalayan Pink Salt, Cider Vinegar, Thyme, and Rosemary. Instead of Water, I used Dry Vermouth alongside Castelvetrano, Spanish Queen, and Kalamata Olives. Soooooo delicious!
Try these out, or make your own! I'm interested in hearing what you come up with for your own signature brine, and leave your recipe in the comments below!
