Oil Paint VS Soft Pastel: Beginner Art Guide

A beginners guide on the difference between creating art using oil paint vs soft pastel and pastel pencils. Just a quick disclaimer, my current artistic skills lay very much with soft pastels. However, I thought it would be a helpful idea to create 2 similar human portraits with both mediums and simply talk through some of the similarities and differences both mediums offer, as well as any tips or suggestions I may have for either.
