Climbing Vlog 17 || Bolting The Massive New Roof - Cold House Media

In our previous vlog, we pretty much teamed up with the locals, did some trail work, Charlotte bolted a line. So in this vlog, we went to Krucevice to do some coaching, a little workshop, hang out with a bunch of locals up there. We're teaching a little class in Krucevice. Yeah, that's a fire on the side of the road. Then we went back to the cave the following day. This is how I stretch for bolting. Third day bolting? Third day? Josh just dropped one of the rare bolts we have. We started bolting a second line, which is definitely going to be a harder line, more steep. Actually, it's the first roof that either of us have ever bolted in. Made it to the roof, not much overhead space here. Hanging in the roof. We're switching places. Josh gave me the privilege, how do you call that? To bolt the last two bolts in the roof. Is it hard? No, it's fun. But every time you put a bolt, today, you were grinding. Grinding? Whining? Grinding. Grinding? So that was a different experience, maneuvering around in the roof. But it's definitely a different feeling to drill a hole, then slide a bolt in it, and then immediately hang on it and tighten it. I was pulling on it, like I would put the quickdraw on it and pull on it a little bit. And then hang on just like both of them at the same time and tighten. And each time I'd tighten, I would swing out onto the other one. Josh? We're at Berka. After the day of bolting, we hit a local, famous restaurant called... We just call it Berka. So if that's the name of it, we went to Berka. If that's just the name of the food that we ate, we went out for Berka. This is Serbian ice cream. Cold kajmak. Pie with cheese. Saviertje. Okay, so this is meat, this is meat, and then that's meat. But that's cevapi. In our next vlog, vlog 18. The next vlog's 18? Holy crap, the next vlog is 18. So more climbing in vlog 18.
