I did watched your dance for the stars your recent episode and oh my gosh Insane like I mean, I feel like we we both grew up dancing and like It's always been like very technical and like weird like I mean like She's amazing. I don't know. It's just it's so so good Charlie, and I'm so proud of you like how far you've come Yeah, you're a star so I I Heard recently that you have a new song out, right? I I was listening to it in the car, and it was really really good like really good So what what made you write this song and like like how how did you start writing yeah, I mean I think Music and dance go hand in hand. I love music that makes you feel something so I Was like I want to make a song I just I feel like I feel like it would be so much fun I want to do it definitely so I got in the studio and started writing and I decided that I didn't want to write this about a Real life story, you know I kind of took little bits and pieces of things that I've been through things that The other writers that I was with had been through and kind of just like all Put our brains together and created this story about this this poor girl that cannot get this guy no matter how hard you try and We just had the most fun time and overall it was like So many great things after another where it was just fun It was just fun and and on our time and got to be exactly how I wanted it to be and I just was so excited to be able to Just be creative and tell a story That's awesome, and I think I think when you're having fun with it, and it's on your own time That's when you can be the most creative Your story you know and like I could definitely tell in like the lyrics and The song name like And it just definitely reminded me of you like your story. I just I know it's awesome Can you tell me a little like about like what the song name means and like how does it mean to you? Yeah, is it a secret No, I mean the song is called if you ask me to and I feel like there's so many Ways that different people can take up for me. I feel like I always like to you know I'm a people pleaser at heart, and you know I I like to Try to make people happy. That's what I that's what I do, and you know if you at the line And the name of it from was I'll come running if you ask me to It's like just asking and I'll be there that could be a great thing and that can be a thing You know holds you back, and I feel like a lot of people are like that about different things whether it's work They're friends or relationships or anything, and I just there was something about that. That was just so special to me You know if you asked me to if you asked me to do something. I would do you know oh my gosh. I didn't like Especially like just being in LA and like everything I've been through you you've always been But like I didn't even have to ask you You've been there you know for me and That's I just love you so much as a person because you you care so much about everyone You know and about everyone's feelings, which? Yeah, I just I love it about you and Yeah, perfect song To like describe So Charlie What are some of your favorite musical artists or your your idols I Would say you know Billy Eilish James Arthur you know I love a good sad song like I listen to that type of music 24-7 I don't have to be sad, but I feel like that type of music with those powerful voices There's one song that I was really inspired by and it's we have it all by Pinstones and he is just between the voice and You know the kind of a rise of the music and there's even one point where it's silent And it's like I listen to that song and I feel something every single time I listen to it I get goosebumps every single time I listen to it and all of that was just these Incredibly intricate lyrics. I just I mean I admire that about him so much, and I mean Billy Eilish he's been a huge fan of her for so long and She has an incredible voice as well You know I just kind of look at all of these things that I love about these people's music and what exactly See how I can take something like that and Do it in my own way and figure out how I can make it mean How I can relate it to a story or in any way, but like definitely looking at them I love the way that you do that, and I want to see How I would do that as myself you know and I think one of the biggest things on social media is Just like I guess feeling like you're not alone and like having Especially like a song when you talk about that just having something to relate to is so so special It's so awesome. I also love Sad music it just yeah, it makes you feel something like cigarettes after sex It's just like yeah, and it makes you even like when I'm not sad makes you feel so yeah I like I listen to it 24-7, and I'm like I'm normally not sad Like my sister will come into my room, and she's like are you okay? So I'm always wearing headphones does anyone heard But no, I just And I love that about it as well and also yeah interpret it any way also like Especially with the music you can relate to the lyrics to the rhythm would be especially as a dancer like Like you're very familiar with like all that type of stuff So it's like obviously you're gonna be a very talented singer any live performances I do not have any As of right now because I've been so busy with dancing with the stars So you know it really has been taking up all of my time And I've been having so much fun with it, but after it's over. You know hopefully I'll get some Some free time to you know focus on what's next with music for me. I'd love to be able to perform Even if it's just like small shows with just 30 of my closest fans Like I don't know. I just something super intimate and to kind of Share it. You know I feel like that's that's what I'm looking forward to the most is really sharing You know yeah, I just went to Landon's performance at the Roxy And like it's amazing I was like my wake my wake up time for the next day was like 630 in the morning So I like you can miss my show on this your show. I'll be with you guys soon Just just give me just give me a few weeks, and I'll be a part of the conversation as well But it's so fun to hear them talk about it, and you know collaborations They've both done collaborations with people and seeing how those went and you know with Landon like a die in, California with Dixie she's done a few collaborations that have you know been really amazing and It was really fun to watch from like an outside perspective But now to be able to be in it a little bit more, and you know see oh I could do something like that. That's that's really cool. You know yeah, like why not you know it's like I Feel like there was like probably like a mental block. It's best you just like social media.
